The free llms.txt fix. Ten minutes. Do it today.

A file called llms.txt is a plain-text page at yoursite.com/llms.txt that tells AI search engines — ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity — who you are, what your ministry teaches, and when you meet.

Why it matters

Without it, when someone asks AI about your ministry or asks for a church nearby, the AI quotes whoever it can read instead of you. With it, the AI engines have your own words to quote — your name, your teaching, your service times — straight from your site.

What goes in the file

Four things, plain text, no code. It takes a web person about ten minutes:

  1. Ministry name — the full name, exactly as people know it.
  2. Location — city, state, and street address.
  3. Service times — when you meet, in plain words.
  4. Main teaching topics — what you teach, in your own words.

An example

This is an example for a fictional ministry, to show the shape. Use your own words for your own ministry.

# Example Community Church — llms.txt
Name: Example Community Church
Location: 123 Main Street, Kansas City, MO 64137
Service times: Sundays 10:00 AM, Wednesdays 7:00 PM
Teaching: verse-by-verse Bible teaching, the Hebrew roots of the faith,
  prayer, and community outreach.
Website: https://examplechurch.org

Save that as a file named llms.txt and put it at the top level of your website — so it loads at yoursite.com/llms.txt. Then open that address in your browser to confirm it loads.

What this does not do

The file tells AI engines who you are. It does not check what they are already saying about you today — including the things they get wrong, and who they cite instead of you. That is what the full audit is for.

Want the full check?

The one-time AI Visibility Audit ($147) asks ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Claude about your ministry, captures exactly what they say word for word, and hands back the top five fixes. Written report within five business days.
